 Zenit St. Petersburg's Domenico Criscito (C) is congratulated by team mates after scoring 10-man Torino 2-0 Thursday in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash. Axel Witsel opened the scoring for the Russians in the 38th minute by taking advantage of poor defending and Domenico Criscito doubled the advantage eight minutes after the restart by converting a rebound from the post. Torino played more than an hour with 10 men as midfielder Marco Benassi was sent off for two bookings. The other seven first leg ties take place later Thursday including Wolfsburg v Inter Milan and Everton v Dynamo Kiev. | |||||
