Sprint superstar Usain Bolt will be on Jamaica's team for next month's world relays event in the Bahamas, the ruling body IAAF said Tuesday, citing his national federation JAAA. "I'm happy to be part of the Jamaican team ... I am fit, healthy and ready to run," Bolt said in a statement. "Jamaica has a long and successful tradition in relays and when we put on the national colours we always do our best to make the country proud." The world's fastest man Bolt, 28, has six Olympic golds and eight world titles - five of the 14 coming in the 4x100 metres relay. The second edition of the world relays takes place in Nassau May 2 and 3. Coming off a modest and injury-plagued 2014 campaign with just three races, the world record holder Bolt aims to run fast again this year, with the season highlight the world championships in Beijing in late August. He is set to run the 100m on April 19 at a meet in Rio where the 2016 Olympics will take place. | |||||
